Donate old cell phones to sell for calling cards for soldiers overseas.

Turn old cell phones into prepaid calling cards for U.S. troops
stationed overseas. Each phone collected is worth 1 hour of prepaid
calling time. Phones can be brought to the front desk of the Portneuf
Library or left in the drop box. The library will ship the phones to a
recycler that will pay Cell Phones For Soldiers so they can purchase
the calling cards. The recycler is able to recondition nearly half the
phones for resale and reclaims the valuable metals from the rest. Last
year cell phone collections amounted to nearly 12 million minutes of
prepaid calling time for American soldiers.Cell Phones for SoldiersCell Phones for Soldiers
